Dune meets Damon Beard of ECR

The community is urged to diarise and support a fund-raiser called ‘Drive 4 Dune’ which is to take place on Sunday, November 25.

Dune Jansen van Vuuren of Ramsgate, who lost the sight in his right eye after an unfortunate accident, got a chance to met Damon Beard of East Coast Radio last Friday.

Damon hosted his mid-morning show at the Southcoast Mall from 9am to noon, during which the public kindly donated toys for this year’s Toy Story campaign.

The community is urged to diarise and support a fund-raiser called ‘Drive 4 Dune’ which is to take place on Sunday, November 25.

All funds raised at this event will go towards the medical costs of fitting a prosthetic eye.

The breakfast ride/drive will begin at the Hibiscus Ski-boat Club parking lot at 10am.

At 10.30am, the cavalcade will proceed to Munster Motor Museum where breakfast rolls and beverages will be on sale.

Everyone will then drive back to the ski-boat club for some children’s activities.

Everyone is welcome to at Rocky Ridge from 2pm onwards, where local bands Jacob Saw and The Gentry will play.

All proceeds from food and beverage sales will be donated to the fund.

Raffles will be drawn and Wayne from Wayne’s Auction will auction off the bigger donations.
