Members of the Self-Help Association for the Seniors (Shafts) were given an interesting talk on the National Sea Rescue Institute (NSRI) at their recent meeting, held at the Shelly Beach Ski-boat Club.

Seniors were given insights on how the NSRI functions, from receiving information and the steps taken by teams before a rescue attempt is launched to what happens after the rescue.

They were also taken on a tour of the NSRI’s facilities.
