Woman trapped after crash

It took nearly an hour to extricate the woman, who had suffered several injuries.

A WOMAN is very lucky to be alive after her vehicle careered down an embankment opposite the R102 near Park Rynie on Friday last week, leaving her trapped.

The woman’s vehicle and a second vehicle appear to have collided, leading to the accident.

Emergency rescue personnel work tirelessly to free the woman from her vehicle.

Authorities closed the R102 near Zisabo as emergency rescue personnel from Port Shepstone Search and Rescue as well as paramedics worked to free the trapped woman.

It took nearly an hour to extricate the woman, who had suffered several injuries, including to her head, and take her to hospital.
