“The children did not expect to be given a special party. So thank you to all at the Port Shepstone Presbyterian Church,” said Mr Sibisi.

The Amavulandlela Ogu Scout Club observed a ‘BP Sunday’ recently to commemorate the birth date of Lord Robert Baden-Powell) at the Port Shepstone Presbyterian Church.

As part of Amavulandlela’s sustainable development goals the club seeks to serve in the community they serve. It undertakes the cleaning of beaches, rivers and public spaces as Lord Robert Baden-Powell invested that “We should leave this place in a better condition when we found it”.

“We have to instill in our children the culture of conservancy and our natural heritage,” said Mr Sibisi.

The Amavulandlela club commits itself to be of service to the community and if any organisation would like the scouts to become involved in a clean-up they can contact Muzi Sibisi at 083 288 9000 or seyo02@gmail.com.
