Armed robbers strike at Shelly Beach store

Cellphones, laptops and cash were taken.

Staff at a news agency in Shelly Beach had a frightening experience when two armed men entered the store last Wednesday.

According to police spokesman, Captain Petros Mpinge the store manager was about to close the shop when the men entered and pretended to make a purchase.

“One drew a hand gun which he aimed at the manager, ordering her to be quiet. Three shop assistants were taken to the back of the shop where they were bound with cable ties,” said Capt Mpinge. No one was injured.

Cellphones, laptops and cash were taken. No arrests have yet been made.
