Driver shot on N2 freeway near Selborne

The man managed to drive to GJ Crookes Hospital for medical attention.

A man was shot while he and a passenger were travelling on the N2 freeway near Selborne on June 18.

“The driver of a silver grey Polo wanted to overtake, so the man moved over into the slow lane. However, he was forced to come to a stop due to a slow-moving truck in that lane,” said Scottburgh Saps communications officer, Captain Adam Francis. “The passenger in the Polo then fired at the driver, wounding him in the shoulder.”

The man managed to drive to GJ Crookes Hospital for medical attention.

A case of attempted murder is being investigated by Detective Warrant Officer Peter Hattingh of the Scottburgh Saps.
