Hibberdene Academy pupils clean up

The exercise taught pupils that all the mess, especially plastic, lands up in our fragile waterways, rivers and oceans.

Hibberdene Academy’s gr 10 class spent their 67 minutes for Mandela Day armed with bin bags to clean up the streets.

Many other classes joined in to collect litter.It is amazing how much people litter and take no responsibility for cleaning up.

Gr 9 pupils spent their time scrubbing desks at the school.A fundraising day was organised by gr 11 and they chose a ‘pajama day’ to raise funds.

Mandela Day was a fun day for all.
