A bakkie, stolen from Mkolombe near Bhobhoyi, was found three days later just kilometres away – stripped to its shell.

“The vehicle had been completely stripped. Officers from the K9 unit also searched two nearby residences having been tipped off that drugs were concealed on the premises,” said police spokesman, Captain Petros Mpinge.
“They recovered a substantial quantity of drugs including Mandrax tablets and heroin capsules. The suspect is still at large as he was not at home during the raid.”
The street value of the recovered drugs is estimated to be R10 3580.
Cluster Commander, Major General Sethenya Nxamagele was pleased with the initiative and encouraged partnerships with local security companies in combating crime within the Ugu Cluster.
