An awareness assembly to promote respect for women was held at Jai Hind Primary to commemorate Women’s Day 2019.
Guest speaker, attorney Jayen Moodley, delivered a powerful, inspiring message.

She encouraged pupils to treat all women with respect and dignity and strongly condemned violence and abuse against women and girls.
Miss Moodley urged all girls to focus on education and complete their schooling to make a difference in their communities.
The day’s programme included songs, poems and speeches by pupils who motivated their peers to promote dignity and respect for all women.

Principal Dayalan Govender and deputy principal Teddy Moodley both paid tribute to women on the staff complement.
Their educational messages gave insight into the history of Women’s Day and highlighted the importance of the women in our lives.
A staff Women’s Day programe was also arranged and guest speaker Pastor Reggie John delivered an immensely thought-provoking message.
The school sincerely thanks Jayen Moodley, Pastor Reggie John and Nalinee Moodley for being part of the day’s programme.
