Excellent teamwork by Port Shepstone police lead to the arrest of three armed men within hours of a robbery in Louisiana last Thursday.
According to police spokesman, Lieutenant Colonel Thulani Zwane, the driver of a truck and his crew were delivering cool drinks to a tuck shop when criminals emerged and opened fire on the truck.

“The robber took three cellphones and cash and then fled on foot. Fortunately, the men in the truck were not harmed. A case of armed robbery and attempted murder was opened at the Port Shepstone police station,” he said.
A short while later the suspects were located at a house in Louisiana. As police officers approached, a man emerged and pointed a firearm at the officers. He was shot and wounded in thigh and was immediately placed under arrest.
Another two suspects were also arrested and a second pistol was seized.
All three men, aged between 23 and 27, were charged with armed robbery as well as with the illegal possession of firearms and ammunition.
