Interactive theatre comes to Sheppie

After the show, the audience is encouraged to participate in a public dialogue which will be facilitated by the research team from Rhodes University and the Durban University of Technology.

Lalela uLwandle (listen to the sea) is an interactive immersive theatre and public storytelling experience, led by the Empatheatre collective which is coming to the Port Shepstone Civic Centre on Monday, October 7 at 12pm and then at 6pm.

It will also be at Scottburgh High on Tuesday, October 8 at 12pm and 6pm.

The project makes visible the lives of different KwaZulu-Natal citizens living along the coast. It brings to the surface the realities of people involved directly and indirectly with the ocean and creates a social platform that makes public dialogue possible regarding the collective concerns of the ocean’s health.

After the show, the audience is encouraged to participate in a public dialogue which will be facilitated by the research team from Rhodes University and the Durban University of Technology.
