Top STEM pupils lauded

Pupils are selected for the programme based not only on their academic aptitude, but also on their sheer determination to succeed.

PROTEC, a national, non profit, technological career and development programme for senior high school pupils, recently celebrated the academic achievements of its pupils over the course of the year.

The function was held at Naidooville Primary in Umkomaas.

Pupils are selected for the programme based not only on their aptitude for mathematics and physical science, but also on their sheer determination to succeed in life.

The programme is funded by Sappi Saiccor and offers an excellence programme in STEM (science, technology, engineering and mathematics) education.
