According to Craig Botha of Kwazulu Private Ambulance Service, “Emergency services found that the vehicle had veered off the road and crashed about 30 meters down a cliff, landing on the rocks along the sea.
“Paramedics found that the driver had been thrown from the vehicle and had landed between the rocks. The man, believed to be in his 20s, required advanced life support intervention.”
With the assistance of fire and rescue services, the patient was carried to a safe area using rescue ropes. This this the second incident in two weeks involving a vehicle that veered off Finnis Road and onto the rocks. It is believed that the first driver suffered minor injuries.
