Harmony Hill Rescue Havens was overwhelmed by the recent – and very generous – donation received from the Ramsgate Lions Club.

Penny Taylor of Harmony Hill said she was “totally blown away” by the kind donation.
“The R5 000 was specifically collected for an ongoing transmissible venereal tumour (TVT) programme.
“This, along with a partial sponsorship from a vet in Southbroom, will help 10 dogs receive curative treatment,” she said.
Canine TVT is spread by the transfer of living cancer cells between dogs, usually during mating.
It causes tumours which are associated with the external genitalia of both male and female dogs.
