Wine and dine for a good cause with Mayor Mqwebu

Tickets include a three-course dinner, drinks and entertainment.

Business and glamour are the order of the day at the Mayor’s Charity Gala Dinner this year. The event aims at raising money to assist qualifying graduates with driving lessons.

Tickets for the red carpet event themed ‘Elegance’ started selling last month at R1500 per seat.

Top business people and radio personalities will be attending the event, taking place at the Margate Hotel on Saturday, November 1 at 6pm.

Money raised will go directly to the Nomusa Mqwebu Development Trust to fund young qualifying graduates in need of driving licences.

The programme is one of many championed by the Ray Nkonyeni Municipality mayor, Cynthia Mqwebu in her trust aimed at developing young boys and girls who come from disadvantaged backgrounds.

“I am a firm believer in developing the less privileged. We have done it before with the golf academy and we would like to empower these graduates for them to obtain better opportunities in life,” said Mrs Mqwebu.

Tickets include a three-course dinner, drinks and entertainment.

Should you be unable to attend the event, but wish to support the trust with a donation, it will be most appreciated.
