Jai Hind honours award winners

The annual awards ceremony rewards sporting and academic achievements.

Jai Hind Primary’s academic year culminated in the annual awards ceremony last week.

The top 10 pupils in each grade was recognised for academic excellence.

Congratulations to the school’s dux, Jaiden Govender, who received the coveted award for achieving the highest academic excellence in grade 7.

Tristan Naidoo was the recipient of the Good Fellowship Award. Minentle Dube walked away with the sportsman of the year award and the Asanda Msani claimed the sportswoman of the year trophy.

Retired deputy principal Roshnee Audan was guest of honor and she spoke about the scourge of violence and escalating crime experienced by teachers and pupils in the school environment.

Tristen Naidoo scooped the Good Fellowship Award at Jai Hind Primary’s awards ceremony last week.

She emphasised that the solution to this lay with changing the mindset of pupils, parents and teachers.

Pupils were encouraged not to succumb to negative peer pressure and to attend school on a regular basis.

The school congratulates all awardees and wishes all a safe and blessed Festive Season.
