Dlamini told the court how he had raped his victims, aged between six and 13 years, in the KwaMgayi Reserve in Sawoti.
“He lured them to his house with sweets and chips, and used the firearm to warn them against reporting him,” said Scottburgh Saps communications officer, Captain Adam Francis.
“He gave one of the children R2 after the rape to keep her quiet.”
The abuse cam to light after two of the children argued about the attacks in public.
Four other victims then came forward and the rapes were reported to the police.
Dlamini was arrested on October 23, 2017 and remained in custody.
The investigating officer was Detective Sergeant Nonkululeko Sibusisiwe Mgqibisa of the Umzinto Family Violence, Child Protection and Sexual Offences Unit.
Captains Kishore Giani and Devika Pillay commended her for her thorough investigation.
Ugu Cluster Commander, Major General Sethenya Agnes Nxamagele also congratulated the officer.
