‘Kitchen queen’ shines in business awards
The awards sought to promote 'women empowerment' and celebrate them through their respective journeys in business.
Bibi Ayesha Kadwa of Port Shepstone began her home industry journey long before she became the iconic recipe master and marinade queen she is today.
She and her husband, Muhammed Ameen, purchased the Sunnyside estate and created a business brand, Sunnyside Classics.
Initially, the business involved selling livestock and chickens.

From there, she diversified her product range to include ready-to-cook meals and easy marinades, with a trade mark motto of ‘Bibz in a Bottle’.
Today, Bibi Ayesha runs a successful home industry selling chickens, ready-to-cook meals, her very famous marinades and other related and complementary products.
She recently took part in the Adivah Woman of the Year Awards for 2019.
These awards form part of the Adivah Business Network, run by Adila Vahed Naidoo.
The awards sought to promote ‘women empowerment’ and celebrate them through their respective journeys in business.
The awards ceremony saw 15 finalists selected from all walks of life.
They all demonstrated panache and exuded professionalism and creativity.
The 15 finalists consisted of five NGOs and 10 women in business.
Bibi Ayesha took part in the business category and the local ‘kitchen queen’ placed fifth.
She is also known for her recipe sharing groups and the significant assistance she gives through community outreach programmes and food demos across the country.
