IT’s almost time for the annual 4 Paws and a Tale Rescue Valentine’s Day dinner and dance.
This fund-raiser is the perfect opportunity to have a great time while also supporting some of the most vulnerable animals.
This year, the dinner and dance takes place at the Fish Eagle Café at Crocworld Conservation Centre on Saturday, February 15 at 6pm for 6.30pm.

“It promises to be a wonderful evening of fine dining, great music and good fun,” said Nicky Koekemoer, founder of 4 Paws and a Tale Rescue.
This is a registered non-profit organisation which rescues abandoned, abused and neglected animals in Scottburgh and surrounding areas, and potentially finds them new homes.
It also also feeds and provides medical care and shelter for strays as well as for animals in townships and underprivileged areas.
“We are so grateful for the ongoing community support which allows us to perform our challenging, often heart-breaking work and we feel this is a wonderful opportunity to celebrate all the successes while continuing the fund-raising mission,” added Nicky.
The evening will include a buffet dinner, complete with starters, salads, main course and a pudding selection, followed by great entertainment and dancing.
Funds raised at the event will be put towards the daily expenses, as well as for the organisation’s long-term goal of establishing a permanent shelter for these animals.
“It is only through public donations that we are able to keep the operation going, and our Valentine’s dinner and dance is one of our biggest fund-raisers.”
Tickets cost R180 per person and are available from the Tale End shops in Scottburgh and Amanzimtoti, and from Nicky at 084-6265508.
“We believe these animals deserve freedom from fear, abuse, hunger and thirst, so help us to help them,” said Nicky.
