Help make Daleen’s “big 6-0” one to remember
Daleen is turning 60 on March 5 this year, and her wish is to see 60 dogs (or more) sterilised.
Did you know that one female dog and her offspring can produce over 67 000 puppies in a six-year time frame?
With this daunting figure in mind, Lower South Coast SPCA’s marketing and fundraising guru, Daleen Erasmus wants to help end the cycle for 60 dogs.

Daleen is turning 60 on March 5 this year, and her wish is to see 60 dogs (or more) sterilised.
She is urging the South Coast community to get behind her and help achieve this dream of hers.
Each sterilisation will cost R350 and will be done at the SPCA.
Many will know of Daleen for her passion and love for animals, and for always going the extra mile for the SPCA.
Her role at the society is not an easy one, she has to find ways and means to generate income to keep the organisation going.
“I have told my family that I don’t want a birthday party, but to rather make a difference where it is needed,” she said.
“I love my job, it’s my life, and there is no way I’ll ever retire.”
Daleen is a busy woman, not only is she overseeing the four charity SPCA shops – at the Hibiscus Mall, Shelly Beach, Port Shepstone and Uvongo – but her 2020 calendar is already filling up with fundraising activities.
The next fundraising events are sponsoring a tee at the Southbroom Golf Day on April 4, or to get your bid in for the silent auction which is set to take place in March.
