Senior citizens get social
Organisations such as M² Community Association provide fellowship, meals and entertainment to enrich the lives of the elderly.

Senior citizens have a vital role to play in society, but are often overlooked.
Not so for members of M² Community Association, who enjoyed another lively meeting at the Marburg Library Activities Room recently.

The association’s chairman, Dinesh Pillay said seniors tended to have more time on their hands than other sectors of the population.

“The world is also a very different place from the one they grew up in. This can often lead to pensioners feeling disconnected from the world, which is very unhealthy and not how anyone should spend their golden years.

“The good news is, it doesn’t have to be this way – organisations such as M² Community Association provide fellowship, meals and entertainment to enrich the lives of the elderly.”
