More copper cables stolen by brazen thieves
Last weekend, a group of men was caught red-handed stealing copper cables in Kelso.
COPPER cables and floodlights were stolen from the Eskom Sezela sub station recently.
The Eskom technician discovered the break-in and immediately contacted the Scottburgh Saps.
Detective Constable Mohammed Bhaijee of Scottburgh Detectives is investigating and can be contacted at 039-9781900 with information.

“Theft and damage to Eskom, Telkom and Transnet/Prasa cables and infrastructure has serious implications,” said Scottburgh Saps communications officer, Captain Adam Francis.
Last weekend, a group of men was caught red-handed stealing copper cables near Happy Wanderers in Kelso.
“It was shocking to see this happening in broad daylight,” said the witness.
“It is because of thefts like this that we are subjected to power outages such as the one experienced recently when we were without power for almost a week.”
Police encourage the public to report any and all crime to their nearest police station, or to Crime Stop at 086-0010111.
