Hearts for hospice on Valentine’s Day

Staff celebrated the special day early in the morning before going out to see patients.

KHANYA Hospice staff were treated to cake by baker, Cynthia Tiddy on Valentine’s Day.

Staff celebrated the special day early in the morning before going out to see patients, including those with cancer, TB and HIV/Aids.

Khanya Hospice is currently doing home-based care and is still in the process of building an in-patient unit.

“We are not government funded and like any business, we also have problems with computers and electronic devices becoming old and obsolete,” said Khanya Hospice CEO, Neil McDonald.

“Our cars are clocking up high mileages and we need them for our home-based care programme so if anyone would like to donate a vehicle, it would help a lot.”
