Pumula group feeds more than 40 families
The group has been looking after 44 households, which range from single people to families of six.
The Pumula Community Group has so far handed out 76 food parcels as well as some financial assistance during the Covid-19 lockdown.

Lazer Security has kindly made a vehicle available to facilitate deliveries and support until the end of lockdown.
Seven baskets of supplies were collected from Hibberdene Spar on Monday this week, which will also be hampered and distributed.
The group’s focus is to keep basic food (eggs, milk and bread) on the table for the remainder of lockdown and afterwards, while people get back on their feet and find employment.
The group, along with residents and businessmen from in and around Pumula, is also assisting Reinhardt’s Place, a registered welfare organisation that tends to the needs of mentally-challenged adults.
The home’s list of needs includes food and basic essentials such as toiletries, washing powder, cleaning liquids, adult nappies and toilet paper.
