Many golfing events due to be played at the Wild Coast Sun Hotel and Casino Resort, including the prestigious Founders Tournament, have had to be cancelled due to the Coronavirus outbreak. The lockdown has meant hard times for the many caddies at the resort and the chairman of the Founders Foundation, John Cheshire has stepped up to help by providing food parcels.

“A month into the lockdown and with many caddies having by now spent their savings, desperation slowly takes over,” said Wild Coast Sun Hotel and Casino Resort general manager, Peter Tshidi. “At the moment many of our caddies are living day to day, with little to no help. This is why it is essential to have caring people, like those involved in the Founders Tournament, who try to make the lives of others just a little bit easier.”
