WATCH: Shelly Beach airlift after bee attack

The patient was flown to a Durban hospital.

A South Coaster was flown to a specialist hospital in Durban by helicopter yesterday (Monday) after being attacked by a swarm of bees, reports Kwazulu Private Ambulance Service.

According to spokesman Craig Botha,  the patient suffered a severe allergic reaction to the stings, and a suspected heart attack.

“The patient was rushed to a Shelly Beach doctor’s rooms by the family. The patient was stabilised and the Lenmed1 medical helicopter was activated,” he said.
