Armed Response Officer (ARO), Sakhile Ncama, was immediately dispatched and arrived at the Margate store within minutes.

“In line with regulations to control and prevent the spread of the coronavirus we have provided all our staff with the necessary PPE equipment to ensure the safety of both our employees and customers,” explained Fidelity ADT’s District Manager for KwaZulu-Natal, Vaughan Pillay.

Upon arrival, ARO Ncama carefully made his way to the back of the store and successfully apprehended the armed suspect.

The man was searched and several stolen goods were found in his backpack.

The local authorities were contacted and the man was handed over for arrest. The stolen goods were returned to the store owner.
