He was a beloved father, grandfather and great-grandfather.

Retired reverend Kingsley Thomas of Dave Morgan Methodist Homes in Chakas Road, Umtentweni, died peacefully at home last Sunday. He was 83.

He leaves behind his wife Daphne and three daughters, Beverley Bekker, Michelle Adam and Leanne Marshall.

He was a beloved father, grandfather and great-grandfather.Unfortunately, crime is on the rise again in the Umtentweni and north area.

Opportunists wander through gardens, at night especially, but there are some who do not hesitate to gain entry into properties during daylight hours. An intruder set off the alarm at the Tweni Centre last Monday shortly before 1am.

A brick was thrown through a large window and entry gained, resulting in a computer being stolen, most likely by the same culprits.

Make sure that curtains, windows and garage doors are closed and your valuables are put away out of sight.

I am told that the food parcels organised by Living Word Hibiscus Church have come to an end, as sponsors can no longer continue to give, with restrictions imposed by government keeping doors closed for so long entirely to blame.
