Police are investigating after a man (24) apparently shot and killed his father (61) before turning the gun on himself on Tuesday this week.
At about 12.30pm on August 11, Margate police were called to a home in Broadway Road, Uvongo.
Police spokesman Sergeant Sibu Ncane said the firearm recovered at the scene would be subjected to ballistic testing to determine if it had been used to commit other crimes.
A case of murder and an inquest docket have been opened.
