Festival celebrates talent, empowers youth in Port Shepstone

It was a day filled with sport, talent, entrepreneurship and entertainment.

The Afrika Rising Youth festival, organised by EduNexis Afrika and ABC Homes Cool, was held recently at St Martin de Porres school grounds.

It brought the community together for a vibrant day filled with sport, talent, entrepreneurship, empowerment and entertainment.

From the excitement of the soccer events to the Hibiscus Coast Karate Academy sports and martial arts showcase, the festival created a platform for young people to take part and express themselves.

The energy levels were turned up when the Naach Dewane Dance Academy brought the stage to life with a fun and colourful dance showcase.

The women’s tug-of-war added plenty of laughter, while celebrating women supporting women.

Overall, it was more than merely a festival – it was a day where people, talent and possibility came together and created a space where youth, women, entrepreneurs, athletes and performers could shine.
