Motorists kept in check on Women’s Day

Eight people were arrested for a variety of offences.

A Women’s Day roadblock was held in Mvutshini on Monday this week. According to police spokesman, Sergeant Sbu Ncane the roadblock was held to raise awareness about road safety.

He added that eight arrests had been made for a variety of offences, including driving without a licence.

The roadblock was held in conjunction with Ray Nkonyeni Municipality Law Enforcement as well as members from the Margate youth desk. Sgt Ncane thanked everyone involved, as well as the community for their cooperation.”Motorists must exercise vigilance in their observation of rules of the road,” he said.
