UPDATE: Covid-19 deaths climb to 97 in Ugu District

Confirmed cases of the virus stand at 4 779 in the district.

As of today, Friday, September 11, KwaZulu-Natal has 115 658 confirmed Covid-19 cases, according to the Department of Health.

Of these, 7 736 are active with 285 new cases confirmed today.

Some 2 392 people have died from the disease in the province.

The recovery rate is 105 530.

The total number of people screened is 13 052 591 and the total tests conducted are 261 358.
