Luyanda Cele of Murchison is set to jet off to China soon to exhibit his perfume business.

Cele’s trip to China comes after his return from London, United Kingdom, in July, where he showcased his products at the internationally renowned Tones of Beauty Exhibition.

Cele produces luxury perfumes under the Edison Guvari brand. He said that through market research, he found limitations on replicated luxury scents, which are typically less expensive but sacrifice authenticity and quality. As a solution, he offers his own unique South African product with an African scent.

He added that he is excited about the journey to promote his company, Chilas Legacy (PTY) Ltd and its products. “This is a remarkable achievement. I look forward to showcasing my business in a first-world economy.”

He is expected to remain in China until December.

An incubatee of the Esayidi TVET College Entrepreneurship Hub, Cele met the Minister of Education and Training, Buti Manamela, at the launch of TVET Month 2026 at the Ugu Sports and Leisure Centre in August.

“All the best with your journey; it’s great for you to achieve an international milestone. We are proud of you and the Esayidi entrepreneurship hub,” said Manamela.

The entrepreneurship hub’s Jobina Mark said Cele’s achievement reflects the dedication, innovation, and entrepreneurial spirit he has demonstrated throughout his journey as a young aspiring businessman.

“As an incubatee, he continues to showcase the potential of township and rural enterprises on the global stage. The hub is committed to supporting entrepreneurs through business development services, mentorship, market access opportunities, and strategic partnerships that enable businesses to grow beyond local boundaries.”
