UPDATE: 4 897 Covid-19 cases recorded in Ugu District

Some 4 105 people have recovered from the virus in the district.

As of Monday, September 28, KwaZulu-Natal has 118 731 confirmed Covid-19 cases, according to the Department of Health.

Of these, 6 299 are active with 123 new cases confirmed today.

Some 2 627 people have died from the disease in the province.

The recovery rate is 109 805.

The total number of people screened is 14 309 367 and the total tests conducted are 280 022.
