Two robbers off the streets

The cases were investigated by Sergeants Mlungisi Jabe and Sihle Hlongwa respectively.

Gamalakhe police have made breakthroughs in two separate cases of robbery.

Busani Mzizi (30) was arrested after robbing a man of his cash and cellphone.

Police spokesman Sergeant Sibu Ncane said Mzizi was sentenced in the Port Shepstone Regional Court to five years’ imprisonment.

“Koki Sibeko (37), accused of housebreaking and burglary, was also sentenced by the same court to seven years’ imprisonment.”

He broke into a house in Qinabout in November last year but managed to flee when he was accosted by the resident.

“He broke into another house in Quinabout in February. Gamalakhe detectives easily linked the Koki to the crime and he was arrested.”

The cases were investigated by Sergeants Mlungisi Jabe and Sihle Hlongwa respectively.
