Ugu Film Festival goes virtual

Dubbed the Ugu Film Festival Virtual Integrated Programme due to the Covid-19 restrictions, the programme will feature more than 30 local and international film screenings and nine interactive workshops.

Following the success of the 7th edition of the Ugu Film Festival (UGUFF) earlier this year, the organisers, Zindela Pictures return virtually with a bigger and better offering of film screenings, talks and industry-driven workshops from October 22 to 25.

Dubbed the Ugu Film Festival Virtual Integrated Programme due to the Covid-19 restrictions, the programme will feature more than 30 local and international film screenings and nine interactive workshops.

The workshops, talks and discussions are hosted in partnership with Ray Nkonyeni Municipality and Ugu South Coast Tourism via a Microsoft Teams webinar and the film festival’s official Facebook Page on October 23.

The virtual film screenings will be live on Facebook as well as on Microsoft Teams from October 22 to 25.

“UGUFF strives to entertain our fans, most of them young up-and-coming filmmakers and creatives, in the space with great content in the form of film screenings and workshops.

“Our mission is to create and sustain a friendly working environment that acknowledges and celebrates professionalism and responsible decision-making processes,” said founding CEO of UGUFF, Senzo Zindela.
