Suspected burglars arrested near Scottburgh

Various housebreaking tools including angle grinders, a hand drill, gloves and grinding discs were found in the vehicles.

Police on Monday last week acted on information received about a group of suspects reportedly plotting to commit crimes such as burglaries and cutting open safes in the Scottburgh area.

Local Saps officers and members of Gladiator Security Service located the vehicles being driven by the suspects and intercepted them.

Various housebreaking tools including angle grinders, a hand drill, gloves and grinding discs were found in the vehicles.

Both these items and the vehicles were confiscated while the four occupants were arrested.

Investigations continue to see if the suspects can be linked to other crimes.
