The closure will enable the municipality to disinfect and decontaminate the building as per the Department of Health’s guidelines and to start contact tracing.

“While necessary cleaning protocols are being instituted accordingly, the health of our workers remains our utmost priority. As such, we shall put in place all measures to safeguard their wellbeing while ensuring that municipal operations are not adversely compromised,” said France Zama, Senior Manager: Mayoralty and Communications.

Customers can still make enquiries and payments at alternative offices including Oslo Beach, Harding, Park Rynie as well as satellite offices; the South African Post Office and its agencies, Absa and Easy-Pay outlets such as Pick n’ Pay and Checkers.
