Owlet rescued in Pennington
After an examination, the bird was safely returned to the hollow.
A spotted eagle owlet recently fell from its tree hollow in Pennington and found itself stranded, unable to return to the nest.
Ryne Ferguson, Crocworld Conservation Centre‘s bird curator, was contacted for assistance.

Ryne explained that the young bird most likely left its hollow because it was curious about its surroundings.
“This owlet is at an age where it will soon be able to fly so it needs to start exploring,” he said.
After an examination, the owlet was safely returned to the hollow.
