Clansthal gets crafty once again

his is the seventh year these markets will be held to raise funds with which to maintain the area.

Clansthal Conservancy will once again be holding its famous craft markets this December.

This is the seventh year these markets will be held to raise funds with which to maintain the area.

Maintenance includes cleaning up litter, keeping Clansthal alien plant-free and ensuring that the area is generally safe for residents and visitors.

Keith and Liz Cunningham host the craft markets in the garden of their Clansthal home each year.

The Cunninghams are particularly excited about the December markets after the forced hiatus due to the Covid-19 lockdown.

A variety of arts, crafts, music and food make these markets something special.

“The boutique seasonal craft market continues to surprise and delight with the wonderful community of traders who support it, and the public who seem to love spending market days with us,” said Liz.

“When they aren’t scouting for goods, visitors enjoy relaxing in our beautiful garden which has a delightful sea view.”

The December markets will be held at 111 Pig and Whistle Drive, Clansthal on December 6 and 13 from 9am to 2pm.

Crafters interested in reserving a stall at the market can contact Liz at lizc@scottburgh.co.za or 083-5568108.
