Beaches closed on stipulated dates
Keep in mind that beaches will be closed on December 25, 26 and 31 December as well as January 1, 2 and 3.
The KwaZulu-Natal Saps advises the public to be cautious during this festive season.
“We know that many people are looking forward to celebrating during the festive season, but it is also time for the community to look after themselves during this pandemic period,” said Colonel Thembeka Mbele.
“The police officers in the province will be out in full force to enforce law and order and all those who are found to be contravening the regulations of the Disaster Management Act will face the full might of the law.”
There are currently ongoing roadblocks, stop and searches in the province during which, and as part of enforcing compliance with the Liquor Act, drinking in public will be prohibited.
“We are appealing to community members to consider staying at home during this festive season,” added Col Mbele.
Keep in mind that beaches will be closed on December 25, 26 and 31 December as well as January 1, 2 and 3.
On the open days, beaches will be opened from 9am to 6pm and only a limited number of people will be permitted.
