Fashion trends making a comeback

Chunky sneakers and white tennis shoes were a big hit in the 80s

It is often said that what goes around, comes back around.

This has proven to be true if one were to consider the latest fashion trends, which look vaguely familiar from past decades.

Here are three fashion trends that seem to be making a comeback:

1. 90s Style mom jeans –

Rewind to five years ago, most young females wouldn’t be caught dead wearing jeans that didn’t provide a snug fit. Yet today, clothing stores offer a wide range of high-waisted and baggy jeans – perfect for when you need a bit more room after a big meal.
Apart from the comfort it provides, they’re very versatile. Pair it with a cute sandal or some cool sneakers and you’re good to go.

2. Chunky sneakers inspired by the 80s –

You must have seen these doing their rounds by now. Chunky sneakers and white tennis shoes were a big hit in the 80s, and the trend has once again become popular today.
Whether you’re for them or against them, they’ve definitely left a mark in the footwear industry.

3. Hair scrunchies –

These were a huge trend in the 90s. With so many colours and patterns to choose from, it’s easy to see why they were popular.
Besides being a cute accessory, scrunchies are much healthier for your hair than standard hair ties. This is because the elastic isn’t in direct contact with your hair, resulting in less breakage.
