Appeal for contributions for kavady prayer

The items for the prayer will be bought by the temple.

Due to the current Covid-19 pandemic, resident priest, Guru Bhaven Pillay will be conducting the daily Thai Poosam Kavady 2021 obeyams by himself at the Umbango Sri Siva Soobramonair Temple.

The temple committee appeals to the community for financial contributions towards the daily obeyams which started on January 19 and concludes on January 28.

The items for the prayer will be bought by the temple.

Those who wish to offer milk over and above the abeshagum items may drop them off with Guru Pillay, the day before.

Send your name and/or family names and the day you wish to contribute towards to one of the following people: Jason Govender at 084 2508875; Mickesh Behari at 072 2024242 and Cohen Pillay at 076 4062386.

Guru Pillay will mention these names when conducting the prayer, as well as the devotees names in general.

Donations can be deposited in the following bank account: Umbango Temple, Standard Bank, cheque account number 053322134.
