Music proves rewarding for hard-working students

Each of the students received certificates and medals, with a select few also receiving trophies.

The School of Music recently held its annual awards for 2020.

Students received validation and reward for their efforts to the different music disciplines.

Due to Covid-19 there was no usual year-end concert, but students were able to show off their talents and hard work to each other in their respective groups.

Each of the students received certificates and medals, with a select few also receiving trophies.

Zjizelle Landsberg is the School of Music’s Most Promising Guitarist (senior) for 2020.

Junior Trophy winners:
Leah Curnow – Guitar Star Award (Dedication and Perseverance).
Chigozie Amanambu – Piano Star Award (Dedication and Perseverance).
Bongi Smulders – Most Promising Piano (Izotsha Primary).
Noah Lillie-Peterson – Guitar Star Award (Perseverance and Hard Work).
Bedy Mbonami – Most Promising Piano (Southcity School).
Sandia Bipath – Junior Piano Player of the Year.
Blake Hogan – Junior Guitar Player of the Year.
Siso Sisilana – Most Promising Guitar Player.

Jandi Landsberg – Guitar Star Award (Dedication and Hard work)
