Foreign nationals arrested for theft
The men were detained at Port Shepstone Saps, pending further investigation.
Three foreign nationals, aged between 24 and 33, were arrested by Port Shepstone Saps highway patrol last Sunday.
Police spokesman Captain Petros Mpinge said the men were travelling in a white bakkie on the N2, northbound on the Oribi tollroad, when they were intercepted.
They were found to be in illegal possession of 24 cell tower batteries, with an estimated value of R100 000.
The men were detained at Port Shepstone Saps, pending further investigation.
The vehicle they were driving was impounded at the Saps vehicle crime investigation unit.
They were due to appear in court yesterday (27th).
