‘Once upon a dream’ for new owners of iconic restaurant

Some years ago Raban Pillay, the new owner of the iconic Crayfish Inn in Ramsgate (with Bhivesh Bridgmohan), watched the movie Cocktail starring Tom Cruise.
He vowed that, one day, he would have his own cocktail bar. Well, that day has arrived.
Plans are in the process of being approved to build an outside upper deck, to be used as a one-of-a-kind jazz and cocktail lounge.
This offers diners the opportunity to take in a syncopation of jazz music, complete with sax, piano and trumpets in the background.

Raban and Bhivesh have reassured patrons that while the owners are new, the staff, headed by manageress Happiness Mqadi, quality service and great food remain the same.
Bhivesh has a background in catering, and is renowned in the industry for hosting large corporate and famous private functions.
They welcome all patrons, old and new, to pop in and say hello, meet them and check out their daily specials.
They are certainly not ‘shellfish’ with their prices!
Sundays have become well-known for the restaurant’s incredibly affordable three-course meal.
This includes a starter, followed by a choice of either chicken schnitzel, calamari steaks, seafood pasta, grilled fish or steak, topped off with a delicious dessert.
On Tuesdays, patrons can choose between hake and chips, or steak, egg and chips, served with a soft drink.
Every Thursday pensioners enjoy a 10 percent discount off their main course meal.
The Crayfish Inn welcomes private and corporate functions.
