Elderly couple attacked and robbed
The couple was taken to hospital where they were both treated for their injuries.
An elderly man (80) and his wife (73), residents on a farm in Crowder, Umkomaas were attacked at home by three men armed with knives on January 22.
The men entered the house during the late afternoon, attacked the couple, and demanded that they hand over any cash in their possession.
After cooperating and handing over the money, the robbers then proceeded to take cellphones, a TV and fled the scene in the couple’s vehicle.
The couple was taken to hospital where they were both treated for their injuries.
No arrests have been made as yet.
Colonel Thembeka Mbele of the Saps KZN Media Centre said the matter was still under investigation.
