Simo to star in surf film
Catch the film on Saturday at 7.30am and 1.30pm, Sunday, February 7 at 12.30am, 6am and 7.30pm, Monday, February 8 at 5am. and on Tuesday, February 9 at 10:30am (all times C.A.T).
Up-and-coming surfer Simo Mkhize (23) from Umzumbe will be starring in a surf film being broadcast on CNN (channel 401 on DSTV) from this Saturday, February 6.
The show is called CNN Inside Africa – a CNN documentary shot by Peter Rudden and Michael Cross.
Each week, Inside Africa – CNN International’s longest-running feature show – introduces it’s audience to innovators, entrepreneurs, tech trailblazers and artistic visionaries shaping the future of the African continent.

If there is breaking news it will be broadcast in the next slot.
Last year, the rising local star traveled the West Coast with Amandla Surf Foundation.
Simo recently had a major setback, breaking his leg in two places.
Nicolette Tilley, who is assisting Simo during this difficult period, reported back that he is “doing well, considering” and was going for a check-up this week.
