UPDATE: All roads from Mtwalume to Port Edward clear at this stage

Security companies have reported back that all roads are quiet at the moment.

Security companies Lazer 911 and Ratel Reaction Unit have both reported back that the roads from Mtwalume to Port Edward are clear this morning.

Last night reports of planned mass protest action were widely circulated on social media, however roads this morning are peaceful, showing no signs of rioting.

It has been suggested that the overnight heavy rain may have hampered any possible protest plans.

This is an evolving story and it will be updated as more information comes to light.
