Stolen goods recovered
Anyone in possession of other suspected stolen property are urged to hand it in at Ezinqoleni SAPS, without fear of being prosecuted.
Property looted during the recent Ezinqoleni strike action was recovered during a police operation.
Police spokesman, Captain Petros Mpinge said a variety of household property was recovered in Ezinqoleni between April 1 and 5, 2021.
This is after an operation was conducted by a team comprising of Public Order Policing from Durban and surrounding areas including Port Shepstone, as well as local police members.
Captain Mpinge said this success was as a result of intelligence teams on the ground working with the community.
Three people were arrested for being in possession of suspected stolen property.
The men, aged between 23 and 25, appeared in the Ezinqoleni’s Magistrate Court this week, on charges of possession of suspected stolen property.
Anyone in possession of other suspected stolen property is urged to hand it in at Ezinqoleni SAPS, without fear of being prosecuted.
